Mangalore, Aug 30: In yet another turn around of event former police inspector of Bunder station Vinay Gaonkar took charge as circle inspector of Bunder police station once again on Thursday August 30 morning. Earlier, he was serving in Bangalore.

Ganapati Sheth, who was serving here as circle inspector, is now on leave. Hence, Vinay Gaonkar took charge directly and reported to SP later. Ganapati Sheth was transferred to anti-arrack squad recently and Vinay Gaonkar was replaced in his place.

Hence, Ganapati Sheth filed a petition against this transfer in High Court. But the High Court rejected this petition on Thursday August 30. This made Gaonkar’s path easy, to take charge as circle inspector of Bunder station.

Few months ago, Gaonkar was serving in the said Bunder station. Later he was suspended after his name associated in a case. He was transferred to Bangalore immediately after this incident. Now he has been successful in taking charge in the same station.  There are some voices saying that there has been a lot of lobbying done in the present transfer.  One can recall that sometime ago, Vinay Gaonkar had come down to take charge of the station.  But owing to a last minute order he had go back empty-handed.
