Kasargod: Woman from Bedrakka dies after train hits her

Kasargod, Apr 13: Kamala (65), wife of the late Sanjeeva, a native of Bedradka near here, who was a resident of Chowki since sometime, died after a train knocked her down.

The accident occurred on the evening of Monday April 11 on the railway tracks at Kallangai behind the panchayat office at Mogralputtur. Some passersby, who noticed Kamala's body lying on the tracks, conveyed information to police, and made arrangements to shift it to the mortuary of the general hospital in the town.

After postmortem, the body was handed over to her relatives. The deceased is survived by three sons and two daughters, it is said.
