  • Consider each trial as pure joy: Prem Watsa

Mangalore, Oct 20: Aloysius educational institutions have created many towering personalities since their inception. Although it is a Christian institution, it has never discriminated against its students either socially or religiously, remarked Prem Watsa, chairman and CEO, Fairfax Financial Holdings, Canada here on Saturday, October 20.

He was addressing the gathering on the occasion of graduation day and unveiling of the foundation plaque of the new campus for Management and information Technology at a function held in IT Hall of St Aloysius College in the city.

India has seen tremendous changes in the recent years and it has become land of opportunities and success and no Indian needs to look at the west for success and opportunities, he added.

One must do what he loves to do and have high objectives in life. If one faces failure in life he or she must face it in good spirit as the saying goes. If one considers each trial as pure joy, then problems would be no longer be problems, he exhorted while wishing students all the best.

Degrees were presented to the post graduates of MBA, MCA and M Sc in Bioinformatics followed by oath taking ceremony on the occasion.

Rector Fr Francis Serrao presided over the function.

College principal Fr Swebert D'Silva, AIBA and AICS director Denzil Lobo and former rector Fr Ronnie Prabhu were present on the occasion.

AIBA dean Dr Paul Aquinas welcomed the gathering.
