St Philomena College inaugurates free computer training camp

Puttur, Jun 17: Department of post graduate studies in computer science of St Philomena College here, arranged a ‘two week free computer training camp’ for the benefit of rural people of Puttur. The inaugural function of this camp was held on June 15 at the seminar hall of the PG Centre.



MLA of Puttur constituency and parliamentary secretary T Shakunthala Shetty inaugurated the training camp and said, "Computers play a vital role in every field. It is important for everyone to have at least the basic knowledge of using computers."

The commissioner of Puttur city muncipal council Rekha J Shetty, manager of Corporation Bank of Darbe Branch Nagaraju and chairperson of the centre for PG Studies of the college Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro were the chief guests. The principal prof Leo Noronha presided over the programme. The coordinator of the department prof Govinda Prakash was present on this occasion.

Tejaswini and group invoked God's choicest blessings through a prayer song. Nagashree welcomed the gathering. Abhilash proposed the vote of thanks. Abhijna compered the programme. The faculty members of the department prof Sooryanarayana Bhat B and prof Akshatha extended their support in organizing the programme.
