Saudi Arabia: BC Road - Goodinabali Association Meet at Al Jubail

Jubail, Dec 6: Goodinabali Welfare Association (GWA) hosted a community get- together at UNITED BEACH CAMP in AL- JUBAIL on 30th November 2007. The get – together function registered a grand success in every front thanks to the professional approach and grandeur of the event.
Expatriate community from Goodinabali, a neighborhood in BC Road, have formed this socio –religious organization to serve in the cause of Allah for the religious and social welfare of the residents of Goodinabali in particular and community at large. Since its inception in 2003, the organization has earned good name for its concerted efforts in helping the poor and needy people of Goodinabali in various ways. The organization has extended rich financial and moral support in improving the amenities in the local Masjid, Madrasa and school.
Beary community members from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts had gathered in good number and enjoyed the occasion very much. The fame earned through the previous get- together was capitalized to draw big crowd and attention for this get- together function as well. The full day event started at 9.00 AM in the morning and continued up to 9.00 PM. The program began with the recitation of Quran by Mr. Mohammad Ishaq Goodinabali. Mr. GM Anwar Hussain, the President of the organization, welcomed the gathering. Mr. Qamarudeen compered the events of the day.
The program was organized in an informal setup to give maximum room for the attendees to involve in all fun activities and games. Visual quiz program was the main attraction of the day, which was conducted by Qamarudeen. The quiz program was conducted in an entertainment style, which drew good participation and huge applause from the audience. Shabeer Ahmed entertained the crowd through his hand tricks and magic show.
A souvenir which records the achievements of the organization, glimpses of past and present life of Goodinabali and good articles from well known writers was released on the occasion.
Mohammad Bantwal ARAMCO released the souvenir and handed over the first copy to Mr. Asif, General Manager of AMACO, one of the main sponsors of the event. Many participants collected copies of the souvenir by giving generous donations.
