Mangalore, Jan 14: Vijaya Bank's 1001st brach will be inaugurated in Bhavanti Street in the city at 10-30 am on Monday, January 14.
Reserve Bank of India's deputy governor V Leeladhar will declare the branch open.
Vijaya Bank's chairman and executive director Prakash P Mallya grace the occasion and give a message.
The bank, although having its head office in Bangalore now, was founded in Dakshina Kannada by promoted by the late Mulki Sunder Ram Shetty as a private sector bank. It was nationalized during the 1970s.
