Mangaluru : How to face competitive exams - FREE workshop at Vikas PU

Media Release

Mangaluru, Dec 13 : Mangaluru being the educational hub of Karnataka is instrumental in attracting thousands of students to pursue their higher education from all over the state and beyond. Having some of the best Pre University colleges in the state, Mangaluru has gained its repute for being the indisputable leader in securing top ranks in Board exams and CET. But off lately, with the introduction of All India Competitive Exams, like NEET for MBBS and BDS, JEE for Engineering, NATA for Architecture etc it is very important to know the secrets to excel in these examinations to secure a seat in a reputed Medical, Engineering and Architecture colleges.

Competitive exams can seem daunting, but if you employ smart strategies to prepare for the exam, the process can be much more manageable. As students, all of them certainly know what to study and when to study. Aren’t these lessons imparted in every school/College? Of course Yes. But do teachers and authorities teach them 'how to study?' It is surprising that, we are never taught how to ‘learn’ effectively. Every day, new research is being conducted on education, teaching skills and learning methods, which we can use to learn scientific ways for note taking, textbook reading, memorizing and effective reviewing, which will come in handy for cracking competitive entrance exams.

Dr Ananth Prabhu, Prof Vipin Narayanan

"These competitive examinations are scheduled from April. We roughly have about 3 more months. If a student works hard with 100% dedication, it is not too late to secure a decent rank, though securing top ranks require a minimum of 2 years of rigorous training. It is my dream to ensure all the students attending this workshop from various colleges get a fair idea about how to prepare, schedule time table ,refer the right materials and excel" says Dr. Ananth Prabhu G, Director of Vikas Edu Solutions and speaker of the second Session in the event- How to Face Exam Fear Fast and Excel.

Prof. Vipin Narayanan, Co Ordinator of Vikas ACE coaching and speaker of the first session at the event- How to Excel in Competitive Exams says" Studying in NITs and IITs is the dream of every engineering Aspirant. However, Over 1,500 engineering seats across 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs), 407 seats in IIITs and 73 seats in IITs remained vacant last year. Most worrying is the state of 18 institutes that fall under the category of Government funded Technical Institutes (GFITs). Of the 3784 seats, only 2610 have been filled. This is because of lack of awareness. We therefore wish to bridge this gap and help students achieve what they really aspire to."

Krishna J Palemar, Chairman of Vikas Education Trust will grace the program as the chief guest, Dr. Umesh Bhushi, Principal, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management will be the guest of honor.
