Bengaluru, Dec 24: After failing to find the whereabouts of former managing director of Cauvery Neeravari Nigam Ltd, T N Chikkarayappa, who was caught on the wrong foot by the income tax department officials, who had unearthed unaccounted wealth running into crores of rupees during their raid on him, Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has issued a lookout notice to him. At the same time, Enforcement Directorate (ED) too has intensified its search for Chikkarayappa. Both these organizations have registered individual first information reports against the suspended officer.

Lookout notices have been forwarded to airports, railway stations, and bus stations apart from police department. While ED officials had found newly issued currency notes of Rs 2000 denomination amounting to several crores of rupees, ACB too had raided the spot later and unearthed unaccounted wealth. Chikkarayappa, who was suspended, has gone missing, and officials believe he might be hiding in his estate at Mysuru.

It is said that Chikkarayappa has been contacting his mentors in political circles for finding ways and means to get out of the present tricky situation he finds himself in. He has also moved anticipatory bail application in the court.
