Mangalore, Feb 5: The late C Abdul Hammed Saheb, who led Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) for many years in the state, was remembered by the party at NGO hall, on Monday February 4 evening.
Hameed Ali Shamnad, vice-president of Kerala State IUML inaugurated the programme. In his address to the gathering, he said that Abdul Hammed Saheb was not greedy for power; instead he struggled hard to have strong foothold for the party in the soil of Karnataka.
Meanwhile, he recalled the achievements of the late Abdul Hameed during his tenure as president of Karnataka state IUML.
Meer Mohammed S Inamdar Saheb, former president of state IUML, presided over the function. Dastagir Ibrahim Aga released a souvenir which is brought out in memory of Abdul Hameed, on this occasion.
Well-known IUML leaders, CT Ahmed Ali, H Ahmed Bava, Dr MK Muneer, N Javedullah, ET Mohammed Basheer, M Aslam, Mohammed Kunhi Master and others were present on this occasion.
