Mangalore, Feb 10: “Young advocates should strive to free society of corruption and bribe; so as to create a healthy society,” opined K L Manjunath, High Court judge.
He was delivering the presidential address at the college day celebrations of SDM Law College, held at the college auditorium, here on Saturday, February 9.
He was of the opinion that solving legal difficulties of poor, needy and the destitute will be possible, provided young advocates mingle with them to the hilt.
Young advocates need to be social reformers to create healthy society. He is an ideal advocate who shoulders the responsibility of resolving the problems such as poverty and unemployment. Moreover, one should have in-depth knowledge of grievance of people and develop willingness to help them, he added.
The role of advocate demands several challenges, averting the increase of illegal activities and create a morally strengthened society is the social responsibility of young advocates, he added.
