Udupi, Feb 9: The police personnel from here have failed to take notice of a motor bike lying unclaimed and unattended since over six months. The two-wheeler in question happens to be a Honda Unicorn motor bike.

The bike was lying by the roadside, but the police had not investigated who left it there, why and who is its owner. The motor bike, covered in a thick coat of dust, was found lying next to 'Ajjammana Canteen' opposite MGM College Kunjibettu here. After the journalists here brought it to the notice of the police, they promised to carry it to the police station today, as they were busy with security duty near clock tower on Wednesday.

Inquiries made at 'Ajjammana Canteen' revealed that the two-wheeler had been abandoned here because of some dispute and that it has been here since six months and over. Strangely, the police personnel who keep moving around on this road everyday, and the traffic police who often wait for traffic rule violators and penalize the offending vehicles nearby did not develop any curiosity about the vehicle.

It is not known as to whether the rider or the owner of this bike is alive, and whether the vehicle was stolen. The bike was registered at Mangaluru as the board is found to be displaying the number, KA 19. One hopes that the police, who have promised to take the motor bike to the station will evince interest in the two-wheeler and find out why it was lying there unattended.
