Mangalore, Feb 21: Yet another private FM channel, ‘Superhits 93.5 FM has begun airing radio programmes’ on Thursday February 21 morning. All those who are tired of listening only Kannada hit songs can tune in to ‘Superhits 93.5 FM’ which broadcasts both Hindi and Kannada hit songs on 50-50 basis.

A new FM era was started in the city when Radio Mirchi and Big FM started airing their radio programmes to the taste of diverse listeners. Superhits 93.5 FM has followed the bandwagon of other private FM channels to entertain the growing number of FM listeners.  However, the local youth listeners who were dissatisfied of airing fewer Hindi songs by both FM channels can expect the better deal in the form of equal broadcasting of both Hindi and Kannada hit songs.  Moreover, Hindi movies are dominating more in the coastal region.

Shanmugam, director of ‘Superhits 93.5 FM,’ inaugurated the new studio in the city and said that this was the 24th FM station launched by ‘Superhits’ in the nation.  Superhits have plans to launch its FM channels at Mysore and Gulbarga in Karnataka, in the coming months, he added.

P D Sathishchandra, ‘Superhits 93 FMK’ programme director for Karnataka, was present on this occasion.

At present, the city studio has a total of 16 staff, including RJs’ Manjula, Chaitra, Karunakar, Jyothi, Triveni, Ganesh, Sandhya and Errol. It will be broadcasting programmes like Good Morning Kudla, Blade Raja, Hegide Nammuru, Gobbule Mast Maja Malpule, Haadu Santhoshakke, Mast Madhyana, Mast Mayuri, Youngadiga, Popcorn, Mangalore Mussanjay, Super Dampatigalu, Hello SFM, Savi Savi Nenapu and Retro Ratray, from 6.00 a m to 11.00 p m

It is a good news indeed. I think one more FM station is going to come to Mangalore making the total of FM Stations including AIR to 5. What is the address of this new station and its contact number? Suppose Udupi also gets its share of FM stations, Mangalore people will have choice to hear number of stations. In that case Mangalore people are going to be lucky.
