Abu Dhabi, May 23: Bearys Welfare Forum (BWF), a popular charity oriented and community service organization, as well as a social group of the Beary community conducted its sixth general body meeting on April 14 here.
Mohamed Ali Uchil, president of BWF presided over the meeting. At the outset, Moidin Hanzal conducted a Quran recitation.
Mohammed Rafeeq Krishnapur, vice president, BWF, welcomed the gathering.
Abdulla Madumoole, general secretary, presented a report of the activities for the year 2015-2017, thanked all the members for their support and emphasized BWF’s complete commitment to serve the poor and needy of the community. In his address, he emphasized the importance of education and the understanding and interpretation of education in the Koran.
Mohammed Siddik, treasurer, BWF, presented the financial report.
Abdul Majeed, auditor, BWF, presented the auditor’s report.
Healthy, informative and strong discussions were held on the issues facing the community.
Mohammed Ali Uchil, in his presidential address thanked all the members for their dedicated service to the community and the office bearers for their team spirit, tireless effort to serve the community and their complete dedication to the cause BWF believes in.
He expressed his gratitude to all the donors of BWF who embarked on the novel mission for the less privileged girls namely mass marriage and providing sanitation facilities to the people who do not have access to sanitation. He lauded the great success of BWF-launched campaign toward dowry free marriage and toilet schemes and requested the issue of poverty and other related issues be addressed. He thanked U T Khader and BWF- mass marriage orzaning committee convener and members, Mangaluru, for their continued support to BWF.
All the members expressed their satisfaction and appreciation to BWF for the success of the sixth mass marriage held on February 17 at Mangaluru which went above their expectation of success.
After dissolution of the existing committee, a new executive committee was formed under the guidance of Abdulla Madumoole and Jaleel Krishnapur. A 25 member executive committee was formed.
