Kannada Congregation of Protestant Church in Oman

Muscat, Oct 26: The Kannada Congregation of Protestant church in Oman, celebrated the harvest festival on Friday, October 24, at Rumais, in Oman.

The program began with serving breakfast at 9:30am followed by the harvest festival thanksgiving service at 10:00am. P.N.Mathias, president of Kannada congregation delivered the message, explaining the importance of celebrating harvest festival.

Samuel Karkada, read the scripture readings, Tanya Robinson, played music for choir. Nisha Amanna, was melodious with her solo singing. The Church choir was led by Shalini Amanna, P.N.Mathias, Samuel Karkada, Evan Amanna, Prakash Robinson, Shailini Robinson, Loyce & Sabitha Gangera, Sebastin Peters, I.V Bhagyan and Nisha amanna.

The blessed corn was distributed to the families which had gathered on the occasion.

























At 11:00am Auctioning of various Items which were offered in the form of offerings was done and all the members participated with great enthusiasm the auctioning was traditionally conducted by Godwin and I.V Bhagyan.

Traditional Lunch was served in the afternoon to all the members followed by conducting of various games for children and adults.

The Games were conducted by Prakash Robinson and Mr. Jeevan Amanna. All the members were overjoyed in participating in breaking the pot game.

In the evening prizes were distributed to the winners of various sports by George.

All the children of the congregation were presented with gift vouchers by Robin Maben.

The days proceedings came to a close by prayer which was led by Mrs. Shalini Amanna.

The committee members led by president P.N Mathias, Prakash Robinson, I.V.Bhagyan, Evan Amanna, Shalini Amanna and Jeevan Amanna oversaw the days proceedings to make the program a grand success.

Worship Timings : Every Friday Morning 9:00am to 10:30am at Bible Society Building hall.

Announcement : The 16th Annual General Body Meeting of our church will be held on the 28th of November 2008 along with regular Friday worship service at 10:00am followed by anniversary lunch.
