Dammam: Jet Airways Shows Interest in Flying Directly to Mangalore

Dammam, Nov 20: November 15th Jet airways Gulf and ME Manager Monu Mathew and his Easter Province Team as announced in a Darul Irshad Gathering that Jet airways is in serious talk to start direct flight from Mangalore to dammam, and also he assured the public before 15th of January the flight will be landing in mangalore soil.
submitted feasibility study which explained the potentiality of this sector and also the inconveniences faced by the Mangaloreans while traveling to Mangalore via Mumbai.
According to Monu Mathew, Jet airways will be considering this sector soon,in its memorandum stated that a large number (approximately 35,000 to 45,000) of NRIs from Dammam and Bahrain including the North Kerala region are engaged in businesses or employed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. While all the neighboring Gulf countries are now linked to Mangalore with direct flights, the people of Mangalore and neighboring districts residing in the Kingdom are still unfortunate to avail this facility. “It is a long-awaited and pulsating dream of thousands of NRIs residing in Saudi Arabia to fly directly from Dammam to Mangalore
The figure of those people living in Dammam at approximately 35,000 to 45,000. This includes adjacent Cities like AlHofof, Al Jubail, Qatif, Khafji, etc for which Dammam is the only access point. It covers people from North Kerala like Kasaragod district and part of Kannur district (up to Kanhangad) for those, Mangalore is the nearest Airport and Entire Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Chikmagalur, Kodagu and Uttar Kannada districts.
