Mumbai: Kareena, Amitabh, Sachin are Stamp Duty Defaulters

Mumbai, Nov 26: What do Kareena Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Hirthik Roshan, and Sachin Tendulkar have in common? Apart from being extremely successful, these celebrities also owe the state government several lakh of rupees. 

According to the Mumbai Stamp Duty officials, celebrities and production houses collectively owe Rs13 crore to the government towards the stamp duty of the endorsements and advertisement agreement they enter into.

Recent notices sent by the Mumbai Stamp Duty office has nine celebrities, including Kareena Kapoor (Rs5.25 lakh), Amitabh Bachchan (Rs2.60 lakh), Abhishek Bachchan (Rs2.53lakh), Hrithik Roshan (Rs2.80lakh), Deepika Padukone (Rs2.94lakh), Sachin Tendulkar (Rs2.50lakh), Feroz and Fardeen Khan (Rs18,225 each) and Diya Mirza (Rs8,800).

Big production houses like Adlabs (Rs4.13 lakh), Filmcraft (Rs8.05lakh), Mukta Arts (Rs7.46lakh), Yashraj Films (Rs6.84lakh), Red chilly (Rs5.17lakh) have also been sent notices.

Principal secretary of the stamp duty, Ramesh Kumar, said“ “It is not mandatory to register the agreement between the companies and the stars. Hence, we plan to amend the Bombay Stamp Act, 1958, to enable government machinery to recover stamp duty more easil”.”

The office has served notices to 73 celebrities in last two years, out of which 33 have paid the duty.

Thease three categories are most enjoying the name,fame and luxurious life in India with public money. Until and unless the younger generation of India STOP SUPPORTING this people it is difficult to reduce the poverty level in our country.

Following are the main taxes & duties collected by govt. 1.CUSTOM DUTY 2.EXCISE DUTY 3.CENTRAL SALES TAX 4.INCOME TAX 5.VAT 6.ENTRY TAX 7.PROPERTY TAX 8.WEALTH TAX 8.GIFT TAX 9.STAMP DUTY. 10. OCTROI 11. TOLL FEE 12.ROAD TAX 13. SERVICE TAX. 14.CESS ON EDUCATION 15.CESS ON HEALTH. ETC..... after collecting all the above taxes what common people gets ? NO MOTORABLE ROADS, NO DRINKING WATER,NO ELECTRICITY SUPPLY ETCC.. MAJORITY OF INDIANS ARE READY TO PAY ALL LEGAL TAXES . TAX PAYMENT PROCEDURE SHOULD BE SIMPLE & COLLECTED TAX SHOULD BE USED FOR PRODUCTIVE PURPOSE.

    I pray Almighty God to give wisdom to these default brand ambassadors to pay the dues to the government and clear their names from the defaulters list. If they dont have funds, we shall do a fund raising compaign for them.

    These celebrities whom daijiworld mentioned above are very poor in Food Clothing and Shelter. They are hungry because they have no money to buy Food however, very slim, dieting and going to GYM. They do not have shelter only staying in film studios. About clothes they are wearing very less only exposing and showing mussels. Ridiculous Loyal Indian lovers and tax evaders.
