Panaji: Dazzling Sobhann Saanz Makes Konkani Proud at IFFI

Panaji, Nov 26: Sobhann Saanz, a cultural show by Mangalore's premier Konkani cultural troupe Mandd Sobhann, which holds Guinness World Record for longest singing marathon, was staged during the International Film Festival of India, at Mapusa at 8.00 pm on Tuesday November 25.

The programme under the baton of Eric Ozario indeed relived Konkani culture and tradition to the full. An ennterprising Roshan D'Souza Angelor along with Richard Monteiro, Sachin Sequeira, Norbert Gonsalves, Derrick D Souza, Damodar Kumble, Umesh Idya and Sunil Kumar scored harmonious music.  Eric and Joyce Ozario, Anita Samson, Felix Lasrado, Prakash D'Souza and Adolph Jayatilak lent their melodious voices to the tunes of some of the fabulous Konkani numbers. Naach Sobhann troupe led by Avil D'Cruz and comprising of   Anil, Snehit, Snehal and Marula was at its best as usual.

Khoroz Manglur comedy troupe led by Nellu Permannur along with comedians Abraham Pashan, Alwyn C Veigas and Felix Lasrado enthralled the audience with side-splitting comedies.  

Stany Alvares compered the programme.
