Udupi, Nov 30: 'Bale Muhurat' was held on Sunday November 30 morning, at Sri Krishna Math as the preparation for Paryaya of Sri Laxmivarateerta Swami of Shiroor Math that will be held during 2010.  It will be the third Paryaya for Swami Laxmivarateerta.

Swami Laxmivarateerta offered the motion to 'Bale Muhurat' after offering prayers at Sri Chandreshwar temple, Sri Ananteshwar temple and Sri Krishna Math, here on Sunday morning.







Swami Laxmivarateerta while gracing the stage programme, said that during his term of Paryaya, he was committed to serve only vegetable dishes prepared out of the vegetables grown at the Math farm exclusively using organic manure. Around two hundred and fifty acres of farm has been developed while ten thousand banana trees are already planted with plans to grow a  variety of vegetables shortly, he emphasized.

He also said that he would strive to provide devotional environment for both local and overseas devotees during his term.  As a preparation to Paryaya, Akki Muhurat, Kattige Muhurat and Batta Muhurat will be held in the coming days, he added.









District-in-charge minister Dr V S Acharya, MLA Raghupati Bhat, Haridas Upadhyaya, Kadiyali Sri Mahishamardini temple trustee Anantaram Upadyaya, lawyer Pradeep, Sitaram Acharya, Jayasrikrishna Parisara Premi Samiti (NGO) president Tonse Jayakrishna Shetty, Radha Developers proprietor Manohar Shetty and Kakkunje Vasudev Bhat were present at the dais.

Lata V Acharya welcomed the gathering.  Vrajanat Acharya proposed vote of thanks.  Ashok Bhandary compered the programme.
