Mangalore: City Salutes in Admiration - Pays Tribute to Mumbai Braveheart Heroes

Mangalore, Dec 3: A group of the citizens from the city held a silent protest at the Nehru Maidan here on Tuesday December 2, against the recent terrorist attacks in Mumbai.

Photographs of Mumbai Anti-Terrorist Squad chief Hemant Karkare, encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar, additional superintendent of police Ashok Kamte and Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who were killed by terrorists, were placed on a platform at the Maidan.

A good number of people approached the platform, paid floral tributes to the slain heroes and lit candles in front of their photographs.

    Hats off to our heroes.They have martyred to the motherland. V shud not forget this and we should do our bit for our country. If v can do nothing we shud at least stop blaming each other. Hindus, Muslims, Christians and others please unite for god sake and stop the blame game like the politicians. DONT ABET TERRORISM OR ANY VIOLENCE IN THE NAME OF RELIGION. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE UNITE.

    It is very sad, if not the photos, at least the names of the police men who were also killed should have been written while paying tribute to Mumbai Braveheart heroes

    great....even the whole world salutes the work our brave soldiers.but there are lot of other police constables behind the screen who sacrificed their life.they are not seen to our media people.lets salute them also in this moment.
