Bantwal, Dec 4: Dr Sheikh Majid Bin Saeed Al Nuaimi from Ajman UAE inaugurated B A Hospital and Training Centre, Thumbe, near here on Thursday December 4 afternoon.
Dr Sheikh Majid Bin Saeed Al-Nuaimi in his inaugural address extended all possible support from his health institute in the UAE, to B A Hospital.
Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Union Administrative Reforms Commission chairman Veerappa Moily, former union finance minister Janardhan Poojary, MLAs Ramanath Rai and U T Khader were the chief guests of the occasion.
The programme was presided over by B A Hospital and Training Centre chairman B A Ahmed Haji.
Dr D Veerendra Heggade said that it is significant that B A Hospital and Training Centre, set up by Mohiuddin Education Trust, is located in the rural area of Thumbe. It will be of great help to the less privileged and the poor of the area. "The setting up of the hospital was necessary owing to the changes in the lifestyle of the people," he added.
Union Administrative Reforms Commission chairman Veerappa Moily said that the hospital set up by B A Group contributes for social welfare in the rural area. It is their social capital to promote healthcare facilities in their neighbourhood, he opined.
Former union finance minister Janardan Poojary said that it is a historical event for B A Group to set up healthcare facilities in their locality. The undivided Dakshina Kannada district has Yenepoya Group, KVG of Sullia, Manipal Group who have already carved a niche in healthcare sector.
