Udupi: Jayasrikrishna Parisara Premi Samiti Celebrates Eighth Annual Day

Udupi, Dec 7: The eighth annual day celebration of Jayasrikrishna Parisara Premi Samiti, an NGO striving for the integral progress of undivided Dakshina Kannada district, was held at Sri Krishna Math Rajangan, on Saturday December 6. A discussion meet was also held to focus on industrialization, tourism, and job opportunities, for DK youth.
State home minister Dr V S Acharya inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. The programme was presided over by Jayasrikrishna Parisara Premi Samiti president Vishwanath U Mada.
Sri Vishveshateerta Swami of Pejavar Math, Sri Sugunendrateerta Swami of Puttige Math, Sri Laxmivarateerta Swami of Shiroor Math, and Fr Marcel Saldanha, parish priest, Kallianpur Milagres, also graced the occasion.
Karnataka Humanitarian Relief Society chief secretary Akbar Ali, Mangalore MLA Yogish Bhat, local MLA Raghupathy Bhat, Moodbidri MLA Abhayachandra Jain, Karkala MLA H Gopal Bhandary, and former MP Vinaykumar Sorake, were the guests of honour.
Manipal University former vice-chancellor and Jayasrikrishna Parisara Premi Samiti Dakshina Kannada district president Dr B M Hegde, delivered a lecture on the various aspects of the integral progress to be achieved in undivided DK.
