World Sacred Spirit Festival begins on Friday

Jodhpur, Feb 21 (IANS): The spiritual fervour of Mira Bai's poetry, the timeless couplets of Kabir, the ecstasy of Amir Khusrau's music and the soaring rhythms of Kurdish Sufis from Iran -- the World Sacred Spirit Festival that begins here on Friday will have all this, along with performances by artistes from Sweden, Scotland, France, Spain and Algeria.

Organised by the Mehrangarh Museum Trust, the three-day event will celebrate the beauty of nature and the divine through music.

Mehrangarh Museum Trust is one of India's leading cultural institutions, established in 1972.
