Bangalore: Mass Resignation by Doctors, Leaders to Meet CM on Oct 5

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Oct 3: The representatives of Karnataka Government Doctors Association met the new state chief secretary, S V Ranganath, on Friday October 2, and placed before him their side of the case relating to pay structure anomalies, other related problems and their demands.

The doctors have been saying that meeting of their demands is a precondition for the withdrawal of their mass resignations. Ranganath, after giving a patient hearing to the doctors, assured them that he would speak to the Chief Minister (CM) on their demands. Earlier, it was decided that the doctors would take part in a meeting with the CM on Sunday October 4.

However, as the CM is away to survey the flood-hit areas and supervise relief operations, the meeting has been re-scheduled to Monday October 5, he added.
