Ponda, Aug 8: Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee president, Pratima Coutinho has said that the exit of Roy and Reitesh Naik from Congress has brought ‘acche din’ for the age-old party.
Talking to reporters in Ponda, Pratima said that the dirt from the party is getting washed away with the rains.
“This will help the party. There was a trend to ask tickets for their family members in the past. Now it will cease with this kind of development,” she said.
Pratima said that both enjoyed power as the home minister’s son. She recalled how late Manohar Parrikar was accusing the same Roy of being involved in drugs, but his legacy is being dismantled.
Pratima said that she has high regard for Ravi Naik but his sons have proved that they are traitors.
“Congress had given a ticket to Roy. I had worked for him in Valpoi constituency.
