Mumbai, Aug 20: The three reservoirs supplying water to Mumbai are filled 100 per-cent, all thanks to heavy rains this monsoon.
The civic body has now decided to bring down water cut to 10 per cent as heavy rains are lashing the city over the last couple of days. Further looking at the situation water cuts will be cancelled totally once the lakes have 95 per cent water stock.
Seven reservoirs -- Modak Sagar, Vihar and Tulsi, Bhatsa, Upper Vaitarna, Middle Vaitarna, Tansa -- supply water to Mumbai.
Modak Sagar reservoirs started overflowing on Tuesday night. Tulsi and Vihar lakes, which are located just outside city limits, have already filled up. The Thane Municipal corporation has also decided to reduce its water cut.
