Bengaluru, Oct 30: The semi-nude photo shootout conducted near the well-known Devaragundi Falls in Sullia taluk of Dakshina Kannada district has received flak from the locals. Model Brunda Urs, who had participated in the photoshoot, has apologised for the same.
She said that her team had visited Devaragundi Falls for photoshoot during the first week of October. "The local people who led us there, did not tell us about the presence of temple there. When we asked them whether photoshoot could be undertaken, they said yes. Even when the photoshoot was on, no one came forward to inform us," she stated.
Brunda pointed out that even after the photos taken there were uploaded in social websites, no one told them. "We came to know that it was a sacred spot with the presence of a temple only after an article was published in a local publication on October 27. Immediately after we realized that we did something wrong, the photos and videos were removed," she clarified.
She said that people who had downloaded the photos and videos from Instagram are kicking up controversy now. "We do not know who is behind this. There was no problem when we did the photoshoot. As the controversy has arisen now, we are facing problems in personal and professional life," she claimed.
Brunda asserted that the mistake was committed without knowledge and the team never thought that it was a sacred spot. She said if anyone's religious sentiments were hurt due to this act, she apologises for the same, in an effort to end the controversy over the incident.
