Riyadh, Jul 5: The kingdom announced on Sunday July 4 that 40,000 new jobs will be created for nationals. These will be in sectors of technology and engineering, law firms, driving schools, cinema, legal advice, customs clearance and real estate.
The ministry’s aim is to provide jobs to 2,03,000 citizens of the kingdom in 2021 according to the statement given by Ahmed Al-Rajhi, minister for human resources and social development.
The minister said that their aim is to provide high-quality jobs to their countrymen and also provide an excellent working environment, thereby increasing the number of Saudi nationals in the private sector which will also see more participation of nationals in the labour market.
Since 2020, the ministry is coming up with decisions to provide more employment to their citizens. The main sectors where employment is generated are the food and beverages industry, commercial complexes and education field-related jobs in the public sector. This will also increase the local participation in sectors like accounting, engineering, pharmacy and dentistry in addition to supporting establishments that are carrying out such businesses.
