Doha, Nov 29: Tulu Koota Qatar, one of the oldest social cultural organization will hold second food festival. Tulunadu where in diversity of the coastal cuisine is part of the culture, the food often leaves you licking your fingers with the wonderful mouth-watering dishes with regional flavour. Such
culinary expertise needs to be showcased and appreciated.

As a platform to exhibit the cooking skills and talent, Tulukoota Qatar will hold “ Tulu Koota Atilda Birsadige - 2010 contest at Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) here on Friday December 3. The competition would be followed by a musical event from well known artistes of a local group.

All Tulukoota members are requested to actively participate and utilize the fantastic opportunity provided.
We are looking forward to your creative support and welcoming you all at the contest.

The registration time will be by 3.00 pm and displya time will be from 3.30 to 4.15 pm. The musical event wil be held from 5.00 pm onwards.

The competition is open for the following categories namely Salads, Snacks, Main Course and Desserts

General Rules

1. Entry fee of QAR 20 per entry.
2. Food to be prepared by the contestant and should be brought to the venue ready to display.
3. No cooking/heating/baking is entertained at the venue
4. Quantity to be sufficient for FOUR
5. No personal identification is allowed with the exhibits till judging is completed.
6. Demonstrate a clean and hygienic workmanship
7. Men and Women both are allowed to compete
8. Vegetable/fruit carving/flowers could be used for decoration/presentation
9. Use of ready masalas is not encouraged.
10. Final five contestants in each category would have an interactive question answer session
with the judges
11. We shall ensure a fair and professional judgement. Judges decision will be final.
12. Competition is limited to Tulu Koota Members only.
13. Judgement would be based on the following
Taste (50 points)
Presentation (20 points)
Traditional dish (10 points)
Recipes along with the list of ingredients to be presented along with the exhibit (10 points)
Judges discretion (10 points)
