Chalk out 4 year program: Stalin to officials


Chennai, Jan 11 (IANS): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Tuesday urged the heads of various departments to think big and chalk out plans for the next four years.

He also urged the Secretaries of various departments to start planning for the next year, next four years and till 2030.

Addressing the Department Secretaries at the meeting held to review the status of various announcements made by the government, Stalin asked the officials to interact with the central government to secure the necessary funds and permissions for pending 20 projects.

Stalin asked the officials to think big, dream big so that the results are big and chalk out the road map for future.

The Chief Minister also said the officials should compare the state's development metrics with that of developed nations and that of South Asian countries rather than with other Indian states.

According to him, out of the 1,641 announcements made by the government, orders for 1,313 announcements have been issued. He also asked the officials to issue the orders for the balance announcement.

Stalin also asked the officials to see whether the orders issued have come into force and are being implemented with allocation of sufficient funds.
