Bengaluru, Mar 4: The state high court has cancelled permission granted by the magistrate's court to conduct an investigation against MP Tejasvi Surya, relating to the Lok Sabha election. It was alleged that the name and address of the printers of the pamphlet were not printed on the pamphlets.

The high court bench said that mentioning of just the word, 'permitted' on the order issued by the court is clear violation of section 155 (2) of the Criminal Procedure Code. Therefore, the high court bench said that the order giving permission for holding the investigation has been cancelled. However, the case has been referred back to the magistrate court. The magistrate court has to treat the case afresh, the bench presided by Justice Sunil Dutt Yadav said.
