Bantwal, Sep 17: MLA Rajesh Naik handed over on September 17, a cheque of Rs five lacs as compensation to Rama Naik, parent of ninth standard student Rakshan, Barimar grama who got washed away in Netravati river recently.

Former district panchayat member Kamalakshi Poojary, Barimar gram panchayat president Shashikala, vice president Sadashiva, members Jagadish, Pushpalatha, S T morcha president Rama Naik and chief secretary Yashwanth Nagri were present.
