Kundapur: Irregularities on highway - Awareness committee warns Navyug company of protest

Kundapur, Sep 20: National highway awareness committee once again sounded alarm bells against the unscientific system on national highway.

The committee and locals gathered near Sastan toll gate on Monday and strictly warned toll manager about the non-existence of street lights, improper and unscientific road humps, soil erosion on both sides of road from Padubidri to Kundapur leading to accidents, no ambulance at toll gate and parking of vehicles on the middle of road near toll gate.

Speaking on the occasion, Shyamsundar Nayari, president of the committee said that the committee will hold fierce protest if the issues are not resolved immediately.

Toll manager Sunil assured that all the issues will be resolved within three days and also said that complications created by the toll staff will not recur.

Eminent leaders of the committee, Pratap Shetty Sastan, Prashanth Shetty, Achyuth Poojary, Denis D’Souza, Y B Raghavendra, vehicle drivers, autorickshaw drivers and owners and station officer of Kota Madhu B E were present.
