Udupi, Oct 5: Emerge, diocesan youth convention of ICYM Udupi diocese will be held on October 9 at St Mary’s English Medium School Kannarpady.

Dr Gerald Issac Lobo, bishop Diocese of Udupi will inaugurate the convention. Fr Charles Menezes, parish priest Mother of Sorrows church Udupi, Fr Franklin D’souza, Shimoga diocese and Fr Johnson Sequiera, principal St Mary’s English medium school will be the chief guest for the convention.

Cultural programmes including Singing, Dance, Fashion Show, Skit and Mime will be performed at the Deanery Level. More than 500 youths are expected to participate from all the five deaneries. Talks on inter-religious marriage and its Challenges by Fr Charles Menzes, and role of youth in the Church and Society by Fr Franklin D'souza will be presented to the youths.

The convention is organized to unite the catholic youth and to enlighten the sense of brotherhood amongst each other.

Fr Steevan Fernandes, director lCYM Udupi diocese and Inesh Miranda, president Icym Udupi diocese have extended a cordial invitation to all the youths of Udupi diocese.
