Bommai to visit Delhi soon to meet Nadda on Cabinet expansion

Belagavi, Oct 15: The long delayed expansion of the Basavaraj Bommai cabinet is likely to happen soon with the Chief Minister dropping hints at the possibility.

Speaking to media persons at Sambra airport in Belagavi on Saturday, the Chief Minister said he will be visiting Delhi soon during the ongoing Jan Sankalp Yatra to discuss the cabinet expansion with BJP National President J P Nadda.

Bommai said everyone will be informed when the high command gives permission for the cabinet expansion.

Asked about Shiv Sena opposing the construction of Kannada Bhavan at Kaneri Mutt in Kolhapur, the Chief Minister said already there are Kannada Bhavans of various associations and organisations in temples and Yatri Nivas.

On these issues, state or language barriers must not come, he said.

Prabhakar Kore is friendly person

Bommai said he was happy that 75th birthday celebrations of KLE Society Foundation Prabhakar Kore is happening and was glad to participate in it.

"Kore is quite popular in North Karnataka for making a rich contributions in the fields of education, health, agriculture and cooperative fields in the last 40 years,’’ he said.

The BJP leader and former Rajya Sabha member, Kore is gifted with the strength to work relentlessly and is always friendly, Bommai added.
