Bantwal, Oct 15: The preliminary meeting of the Kannada literary conference scheduled to be held at Ammunje in November was presided over by district Kannada Sahitya Parishad president Dr M P Srinath at Ammunje higher primary school.

Polali Rajarajeshwari temple trustee Dr M Manjayya Shetty, taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat president Vishwanath Bantwal, honorary treasurer D B Abdul Rahman, school headmistress Suguna, Ammunje gram panchayat president Vaman Acharya, Kariangala gram panchayat PDO Malini and Ammunje gram panchayat PDO Nayana Kumari were on the dais.

The welcome committee for the conference was formed in the meeting. Kannada Sahitya Parishad office bearer Aboobacker Ammunje welcomed and compered the programme. Honorary secretary Ramananda Noojippadi explained the blueprint of the programme. Professor Dinesh Shetty gave an introduction. B Janardhan Ammunje rendered a vote of thanks.
