Kundapur, Oct 21: Kollur main road near Idoor is completely damaged and has become a nightmare for motorists. Stones are strewn a little behind Kinjadi temple's welcome tower from the bridge and the road was filled with potholes during the monsoon. It is filled with dust during the sunshine and vehicle drivers are forced to go slow on the road.

Though the road was in bad shape last year, no repairs were taken up. People thought that it may be set right during the road widening work. The department patched it up and washed their hands off it and nobody bothered about it later.

The road on which drivers were struggling to drive could not be seen by the departments. As crusher powder is sprayed on it now, thick dust is getting thrown up making the visibility of the road poor. The hardship of pedestrians, two-wheeler drivers and the autorickshaws cannot be explained.

Pilgrims travelling to Kollur have expressed their anguish at the pathetic condition of the road.
