London, May 20 (IANS): Welsh actor Michael Sheen, who has publicly confirmed his romance with actress Rachel McAdams, says she is the most wonderful person he knows.

"She's absolutely amazing. A fantastic actress... She's the most wonderful person I know. We got to know each other on set (in Paris), it was an amazing time. We've been a couple for a while now," Sheen has been quoted as saying by dailystar.co.uk.

The duo has been dating since they first met on the set of Woody Allen's "Midnight In Paris" last summer.

"We spent our nights really laughing, and walking around Paris -- Notre Dame is my favourite spot -- and having great meals. It was a great way to get to know anyone," he said.

They admitted being in a relationship at the ongoing 64th Cannes International Film Festival in France last week. McAdams was spotted showing off a sparkling band on her finger in Cannes but she laughed off questions if Sheen had gifted it to her.

"No, it's not an engagement ring! I'll have to talk to Michael," she said.
