Bantwal: Taluk administration observes Voters’ Day

Bantwal, Jan 25: The taluk administration celebrated voter’s day on January 25, the Founder’s Day of central election commission. The voters took an oath. Tahsildar Dayanand K S gave an introduction.

Bantwal block election officer Jnanesh said that votes should be cast intelligently so that best leaders will be elected and democracy may be successful.

Professor and taluk election’s chief trainer Abdul Razak said that Indian citizens above the age of 18 years have the right to vote. “Voting is a proud exercise. Look for your names in the voter’s list and vote without fail,” he said.

Panemangalore Hobali revenue officer Vijaya R, election branch office staff, gram administration officers, village assistants, teachers, students and BLOs were present. Students who did special revision on voter’s lists and won in competitions were awarded prizes.

Election deputy tahsildar Navin Benjanapadavu gave detailed information. Revenue inspector Janardhan J welcomed. Village administration officer Anil K Poojary rendered a vote of thanks. Election branch manager Narayana Gowda compered the programme.
