Mangalore, Jun 5: We the Christians are happy to be like salt or sugar by mixing with everyone and make the situation easy and comfortable. But today this is not enough, we Christians should be the decision making persons of the day and place, otherwise we will be taken advantage of, 'said Roy Castelino, the primiere Christian leader and president of Konkani Prachar Sanchalan.

He was speaking at at the scholorship distribution ceremony of Canara Catholic Education Co-operative Society's yearly programme of distributing scholarship to 87 Kannada medium students from std I to X. amounting to Rs 80,000.

Continuing Roy said, social causes should be fought joining with all the communities. We should understand the language, religion and culture of the others. Moreover, we should know the importance of education,' 'he added.

Earlier president of the society, Rudolf D'silva welcomed and said that the society is completeing 66 years and there is a lot it has to do in the futre.

Director, Ullas Rasquinha delivered the vote of thanks and director Adeline Mascarenchas compered.

Director Lawrence Pinto read the list of the beneficiaries. Other directors Judith Mascarenhas, George Rodrigues, Maria Rodrigues, Joseph D'Souza and Antony Saldanha lend their co-operation.
