Bhatkal: Islamiyaat Exams: Three Students Presented 'Muniri Award'

Bhatkal, Jun 7: A public gathering on ‘Islah Muashira’ and a felicitation programme for students who topped this year’s Islamiyaat exams, conducted by Moulana Abul Hasan Ali Nadvi Islamic Academy Bhatkal, was held here at Jamia Islamia, Jamia Abad, recently.

Three Bhatkalli students were felicitated with ‘Muniri Award’ for getting 100% marks in the exams. They are:

Rabia, daughter of Abdul Razzaq Ruknuddin
Maryam Simran, daughter of Saleem Peerzade
Fatima Farzeem, daughter of Abu Mohammed Tonse

Bhatkal’s best centre award went to Naunihaal Central School and Anjuman PU College.

It may be noted that a total 57,500 students appeared for Islamiyaat exams this year across India.

On this occasion several prominent speakers including Moulana Aqeel Qasmi, Dr Qamruddin (former UN advisor), Moulana Syed Mohammed Rabey Hasani Nadvi, Moulana Sayeedul Rahman Sahab Azmi Nadvi and Moulana Abdullah Hasani Nadvi congratulated the toppers.

The programme commenced with the recitation of verses from the Quran. Later, Moulana Abdul Bari Nadvi delivered welcome speech. Moulana Shuaib Ikkery presented the Academy’s annual report. Moulana Rahmatullah Nadvi announced the names of students who scored distinction in Islamiyaat exams. Moulana Ilyas Nadvi presented a detailed report on 'dawah' activities being conducted through the Academy. Moulana Khwaja Moinuddin Madani delivered the vote of thanks and the programme concluded with the 'dua' by Moulana Sayeedul Rahman Azmi.
