Bangalore, Jun 7 (New Indian Express): A Bangalore city girl bagged the first rank in medical and dental branches of Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Karnataka (COMEDK) 2011.
The first rank in engineering went to a Mumbai lad. Prerana N from Bangalore got the top rank in medical and dental streams, and Arjun Rao from Mumbai stood first in the engineering stream.
COMEDK's results were announced on Monday June 6. Srikanth A S, CEO of COMEDK, said Karnataka students had bagged eight out of the top 10 ranks in engineering, while in the medical and dental fields, nine of the top ranks were bagged by Karnataka students.
He said this year COMEDK had changed the question paper pattern because coaching institutes had mastered the art of cracking objective questions.
