Udupi: All for Baba - Youth Akin to Sholay's 'Veeru' Climbs Tank, Threatens to Jump

Udupi, Jun 7: A 26-year-old on Monday June 6 night at Karnapady here as if recreating famous tank scene from Sholay climbed on top of a water tank which was at the height of 50 ft and threatened to jump down though not for a girl, but for Baba Ramdev.

The boy identified as Ganesh resorted to the act to condemn the arrest of Baba. The public who gathered at the spot first tied the boy to the tank in a bid to stop him from junmping down. Later, fire personnel were summoned, who brought the boy down with the help of ropes. 

The tank has a capacity of storing 1,000 litres and is situated near Shree Chennabasaveshwara Bhajana Mandir.

    What a useless pursuit? India will be without population, if one has to jump to death for such silly reasons. There are better reasons to die for, in life.
