Mysore: Beary Sahitya Academy to Hold Literary, Cultural Convention in City on Jun 13

Mysore, Jun 9: Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy under the aegis of The Beary Welfare Association will hold Beary Literary – Cultural Convention at Jaganmohan Palace Auditorium, here on Monday June 13 at 10.30 am.

Narasimharaja Constituency MLA Tanvir Seth will inaugurate the convention here.

Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy president M B Abdul Rehman will preside.

Mayor Pushpalata T B Chikkanna, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa’s personal assistant Kaup Siddalingaswamy, Mysore Panel director Abdul Aziz and The Beary Welfare Association, Mysore president M A Razaq will be the chief guests.

Ibrahim Tannirbavi will chair limericks – poets’ session at 12.30 pm.

Shamsuddin Madikeri, Hussein Katipalla, Sharief Nirmunje, Basheer Kinya, Jalil Mukri, M P Bashir Ahmed Bantwal, Ashraf Apolo and Mohammed Kulai will participate in the session.

Oppane Paat, Kolkali, Moilanji Paat, Beet Kudal Paat, Beary language presentation and Beary folk singing will be presented by various artistes of Ideal English Medium School, Yedapadav at 7.00 pm.

MP A H Vishwanath will preside over the concluding ceremony in the evening.

The state former education minister B A Moideen, police commissioner Sunil Agarwal and Andolana Journal editor Rajashekar Kota will be the chief guests.
