Mangalore: 'BJP Leaders have Offended Gandhiji' – Poojary

Mangalore, Jun 11: Addressing a press conference here on Friday June 10, Congress leader and former union minister, B Janardan Poojary, came down heavily on the BJP leaders for holding a protest and gyrating to the music at Rajghat in New Delhi. “These leaders have insulted Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, through this act,” he fumed.

Poojary pointed out that Rajghat happens to be one of the most sacred spots of India, and that people from all the countries in the world look upon Rajghat as a sacred place. “The BJP’s act of holding dharna, and Sushma Swaraj’s gesture of dancing there, are highly shameful,” he criticized. He also urged the union government to ban staging of dharnas and protests at Rajghat.

Congress leaders, Harirkishna Bantwal, Kallige Taranath Shetty, and Arun Coelho were present at the press conference.

    After Independence, Gandhiji had advised to disband the Congress Party..and you shameless people are still hanging on the thread of Congress...Now tell Me Mr. Poojary..Who is offending who? People like You, manish tiwary,Dig Vijay Singh, abhishek manu singhvi
    are curse
    on this nation which common people have to bear. Bjp has its shortcomings as long as karnataka is concerend, but their Patriotism cannot b questioned and I feel you are not even qualified to comment on Sushma swaraj. Importing Gandhi's name to Nehrus family is the biggest offence any one could think of...so dont bark Mr. Poojary..just follow gandhijis advise and disband your congress party first and then talk sense. What your Congress(UPA) govt did on Poor followers of Baba Ramdev is well documented..so dont poke your nose everywhere..for you silence is the best option as your political career is already doomed.
