Mangalore: Monsoon - Trains on Konkan Route to Run Slower

Mangalore, Jun 11: With effect from Friday June 10, Konkan Railway has revised its train timings in tune with its annual safety measures during rainy season, which were initiated after an accident a few years ago. The trains will start their journey early, and run about one and half hours behind schedule, said R L Dias, president, Railway Yatri Sangha. The revised timings will be in force till October 31.

Matsyagandha train will begin its onward journey at 12.50 pm instead of 2.40 pm. It will leave Udupi at 2.22 pm after a two-minute halt. On the return journey, this train will reach Mangalore at 10.15 am instead of 7.30 am. Madgaon-Mangalore passenger train will arrive at Mangalore Central station at 10 pm instead of 8.55 pm.

Similar changes have also been affected on all the trains being run on Konkan Railway route.
