Bantwal, Jun 11: Acting on a complaint, the policemen from the rural police station here, succeeded in tracing two married persons, who had deserted their spouses and run away to Hydeabad. Interestingly, both of them belong to different religions. They were brought back on Friday June 10.

Jayanti, a married woman from Kumdelu in Pudu village in the taluk, and Ronald Veigas, a married man from the same village, had gone missing some time back. Jayanti, a member of Pudu gram panchayat, had left home on May 30 along with young son, Abhilash, purportedly to pay obeisance at Kudupi temple. She did not come back. At the same time, Ronald Veigas also went missing. The wife of Ronald had orally complained in this connection, to the rural police here.

The policemen, who hit the trail of the couple, got information that they had gone to Hyderabad. A team of policemen went to Hyderabad, and brought back Jayanti, Ronald Veigas, and Jayanti’s child. During questioning, the policemen came to know that Ronald, who was well-versed with Hyderabad, having worked there in the past, had taken his paramour, Jayanti, and her son, Abhilash, to that city with the purpose of settling down there.
