Udupi: Pejavar Swamiji Asks Baba Ramdev to End Fast

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Jun 11: Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejavar Mutt has urged Baba Ramdev to end the protest by way of indefinite fast, which he has undertaken against corruption and black money.  “The Satyagraha launched by Anna Hazare and Ramdev have given rise to an awakening in the entire country about these ills. Youth have been inspired to fight against these ills. The purpose for which these agitations were launched have been fulfilled,” he said.

The Swamiji said that he, along with Shivaratri Deshikendr Swamiji and Sri Sri Ravishankar, had begun a process of negotiation with the union government in the matter. He said that he and his team will do everything within their command to ensure that Ramdev will succeed in his mission.

“If the negotiations and mediations fail to bear fruits, all the religious leaders will collectively fight against corruption and black money. I have requested Baba Ramdev to respect the advice given by me, Sri Sri Ravishankar, and Deshikendra Swamiji, and put an end to his fast,” he explained.

The followers of Baba Ramdev, concerned over the upheavals witnessed in the health condition of the Yoga guru, have begun prayer sessions for improvement of his health. In addition, Patanjali Yoga Samiti here and Bharat Swabhiman Trust have organized Shatarudrabhhisheka at Chandramauleeshwara Temple here on Saturday June 11. In the meanwhile, the Satyagraha being carried out in front of the office of the deputy commissioner’s office by these two organizations have been continued. A release said that it has been decided to undertake similar forms of protest in rural centres too.

Mr. John/Karkal...Yo are right. But what we have seen the curruption has gone to such an extent that people like Baba Ramdev has been thrown out from Delhi. What happened in Delhi Ram leela maidan people of India observering. And they reply for that. In democracy everybody has the right to protest peacefully. But what government has done is act of timid. In that case we sould appriciate Mr. Yeddy, coz...he gave protection to the marching by congress from Bangalore to Bellary and he guaranteed a peacefull end to their protest. Though it was against his government.
But Shri Ramdev was not against central government, but against curruption. He and evrybody welcome if any step taken by this government to eradicate the curruption, but instead of that this government acted cruelly.
