Udupi: Marble Worker Electrocuted at Kota

Udupi, Jun 13: A person working to shape and embed marble slabs at a new cold storage plant for fish coming up at Padukare in Kota Manur in the taluk, was electrocuted on Saturday June 11. He has been identified as Sharanappa (23), a resident of Kukke village in Jagalur taluk of Davangere district.

Reportedly, Sharanappa was attending to his work of fixing marble slabs at the building, when his leg came in contact with electric junction. On a complaint filed by a co-worker, a complaint about accidental death was registered in Kota police station.

Sharanappa had been working in the district since the last several years, and was on the job at the new premises sine about a month. He is survived by pregnant wife and other family members, who continue to live at Jagalur.
