B'lore: Wipro Appoints New Global Head for Back Office Operations

Bangalore, June 14 (IANS) Global software major Wipro Technologies Monday appointed senior executive Manish Dugar as global head of its back office operations or business process outsourcing (BPO).

"Dugar has been a long-term member of the leadership team and brings deep knowledge and understanding of both the strategic and operational facets of the business to drive Wipro's worldwide position in the BPO space," the IT bellwether said in a statement here.

The incumbent Wipro global head of BPO Ashutosh Vaidya has decided to quit the company to pursue other interests.

Finance head for energy and utilities, manufacturing and hitech strategic business units, Jatin Dalal will succeed Dugar as the new chief financial officer (CFO) for the company's global IT business.

"Dalal will be responsible for furthering finance support for growth initiatives, driving efficiency and simplification in processes and leading profitability improvement," the statement noted.

Jatin will report to Wipro's executive director and chief financial offer Suresh Senapaty and chief executive for global IT business T.K. Kurien.

"Manish has passion for this business and his previous role as the CFO will equip him to respond to the challenges and opportunities that confront our customers on a daily basis," Kurien said.

Senapaty said Dalal had played a crucial role in the global IT business heading the finance function for multiple business units.

"Dalal's experience heading financial planning & analysis and Europe geography for the IT business will position him for his new role to lead our financial prudence," Senapaty added.
