Mangalore: Netravati Bridge Open for Traffic from Jun 14

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Jun 14: Vehicular traffic, particularly of heavy vehicles, which had been disrupted following landslide at the embankment of the Netravati Bridge at Ullal on national highway, has been resumed with effect from Tuesday June 14.

Vehicles were forced to take a detour via narrow road passing through Konaje and Melkar because of the road damage, choking these roads since the last four days.

Although repair of the road had been completed two days back, it was decided to withhold movement of heavy vehicles for two days to allow asphalting and concrete works to properly get set.
